Hogmanay 2007/2008

Nobody does the Hogmanay celebrations better that Scotland.

Join us on our 2007/8 tour of Scotland, stopping off at many of Scotland's most famous tourist attractions. before our Hogmanay stop at the Culloden House Hotel.

The Culloden battlefield is surely one of the most haunting places you will every experience and it certainly one place you will never forget.

Wed. December 26th, Depart on overnight flight from USA.

Thurs. December 27th, Arrive at Glasgow airport and met by coach and tour director. Day trip to Stirling castle, Bannockburn battlefield and the Wallace Monument before we head on into Edinburgh to check into our hotel for the next 3 nights. Overnight Edinburgh. Dinner on own.

Fri. December 28th, Full Scottish breakfast inc. Free day to explore the capital city by foot or on one of Edinburgh's open top buses (it's winter - weather permitting) visit the famous Castle, or one of the city's many museums and sites, or shop. Overnight Edinburgh.

Sat. December 29th, After breakfasf, Another day to visit the city's many sites, possibly underground tour, Royal Yacht Brittania or walk down Princes Street and George Street designer shops. Overnight Edinburgh.

Sun. December 30th, After breakfast, we catch the late morning train north to Inverness where we transfer to our home for the Hogmanay House Party, at Culloden House Hotel, Inverness. Afternoon free to return to the city (A short taxi or bus ride) to explore the city, visit a kiltmaker, or shop in this lovely highland city. Entertainment is provided nightly at Culloden House, Dinner Inc. Overnight Culloden.

Mon. December 31st, After your wonderful breakfast at Culloden, we have a choice of day trips around the area with the other guests of the House, before we return to get ready for a true Highland Hogmanay, (Men are requested to wear either Highland Dress or Black Tie, Women either evening gown or Scottish Dress). A wonderful 4 course dinner inc, with traditional Highland entertainment, music and dancing till the Wee small hours after *The Bells*. Overnight Culloden

Tues. January 1st, A lazy morning to spend, having a wonderful breakfast, or a sleep in, followed by an afternoon to relax with a good book, play a game with other guests, or take a walk around the beautiful grounds as it is New Year's Day and everything in Scotland grinds to a halt. Dinner inc, plus some light entertainment. Overnight Culloden.

Wed. January 2nd, We depart south from Culloden this morning (either by train or plane - depending on schedules) and return to Glasgow where we have an afternoon free to take in the beauty of Glasgow Cathedral, or visit any of the other sites around the city that are open on this holiday. (more info on this will follow) Overnight Glasgow.

Thurs. January 3rd, Another day to explore the city of Glasgow, shop, or visit the Piping center and other sites around the city. Final night dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight Glasgow.

Fri. January 4th, Transfer to airport where we catch our flights home to the USA.

Tour includes, 3 nights in Edinburgh City Centre, 3 nights in Inverness at Culloden House Hotel, Hogmanay House party, and r 2 nights in Glasgow city centre. 3 dinners at Inverness, Full Scottish breakfast daily, transfers, coach first day, entry into all sites inc. and services of a tour director, VAT at 17.5%, gratuities on inc. meals, train/plane transfers from Edinburgh to Inverness and back to Glasgow. Tour is strictly limited to 14 people.

Cost is 1995 UK Pounds per person based on double occupancy. Single supplement of 300 UK pounds.
