This was not our 1st experience with
Celtic Dream Tours and Fiona Prosser. We had a great experience
with her on the Highlands and Islands Tour of Scotland in
2008. So, it was a no brainer when she offered a tour of
Ireland. The 1st day of the tour Fiona took us out of Dublin
and over the mountains of the Irish inland. We saw great
scenery, had many opportunities to stop and take pictures
along the way and stopped at our 1st set of ruins. Fiona
has a knack for finding out of the way and interesting places
to visit. We were able to join a larger group for a guided
tour of the site but the tour guide spent some private time
with us giving us much more background than the standard
spiel. When tours are not available, we found that Fiona
was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of
the sites we visited. We enjoyed 12 days of Irish history
and modern experiences and were treated like royalty throughout
the trip.
A tour with Celtic Dream Tours will give
you the opportunity to experience the real country and not
just visit the major tourist attractions and see only what
they want you to see. On this tour with Fiona, we even had
the opportunity to share a lunch with an Irish family, in
their home and tour their organic farm. This is something
that could never happen on a large tour bus. We also had
the opportunity to sleep in castles, visit local pubs, and
see ancient ruins that were on roads too small for a large
bus to travel. Of course, if you really have your heart
set on seeing some of the major tourist attractions, Fiona
will do her best to accommodate you. However, I can guarantee
that you will learn much more about the real Ireland by
going with Celtic Dream Tours and Fiona.
I doubt very seriously if this will be
our last tour with Celtic Dream Tours.

We had a lovely,
enjoyable trip to Scotland. I now understand why "The
Father of Geology" was from Scotland. It was such an
enlightening experience to understand all the different
tectonic processes at work in Scotland. We loved staying
in all the charmingly elegant historical hotels. We espeically
appreciated the professional guides at Orkney and Colladen
who added a dimension of depth to help our understanding
of archaeology and history. It was wonderful to be able
to enjoy the ever changing scenic view rather than worrying
about finding the directions and knowing road etiquette
on single lane roads. Thank you for your flexibility. We
are recommending you to our friends.

We had a once
in a life time experience on our “Highlands and Islands”
tour with Celtic Drea m tours. Fiona was very knowledgeable
about the area and its history. She went out of her way
to meet the individual needs of everyone on the tour. She
adeptly adjusted her schedule even when our airline delivered
us 200 miles from Glasgow and a day late. Fiona showed us
parts of Scotland that we never would have had an opportunity
to see on a larger tour. She also helped us find the addresses
where my wife’s great grandparents had lived in Elgin
before migrating to the United States. We never felt like
we missed a photo opportunity or rushed through any exhibit
to meet a schedule. We highly recommend Celtic Dream Tours
to get a feel for the “real” Scotland.

In 2003, I decided to travel to Scotland.
I was put in contact with Celtic Dream Tours, and its owner
Fiona Prosser. At first, I was worried about the tour. I
didn’t know what to expect. Fiona made everybody feel
like a guest to that beautiful country and not like a tourist.
I later discovered that she was born and raised in Scotland,
and during the tour she was able to give interesting information
about different places and events that is not found in the
tour guides. Would I use Celtic Dream Tours again? Yes,
in a heartbeat. In fact, I am going on another tour this
year with Fiona and her company. It will be a Masonic tour.
The agenda will be to go to different places associated
with Masonic origins. I am sure that with the help of her
experts, I can learn more about the beginning of Masonry.
I also plan to use her for other events in the future. I
cannot say enough about Fiona Prosser and Celtic Dream Tours.
I truly enjoyed my time in Scotland, all because of Fiona
and her great tours.

I love all the castles, palaces and abbeys.
The group was so much fun and I have made some great friends.
Thanks!

Dear Fiona,
Thanks so much for your wonderful guidance through Scotland!
Scott and I and our families had such a fabulous time!!
We loved all of the wonderful castles and I especially loved
staying at Culloden House. It was gorgeous! It was so nice
to take a vacation and not worry about where we were staying
or how to get there. We loved every minute of it and can’t
wait to take another tour! Thanks again. You’re the
best!

To tell you that I was glad I went on
every tour I did with Celtic Dream Tours would only be an
understatement. I have been a participant on five tours
since 2002. I adored the charismatic places we stayed (from
Manor Homes to superior Inns and exquisite Hotels), I appreciated
the not having to get up and be on the coach at the crack
of dawn with 40 other tired tourists, and I could not believe
the foot I ate, or the generous LOCALS I met. The scenery
of the out of the way course unreachable by those large
tour company buses (to be fair they do their best moving
a great number of individuals and their every burgeoning
suitcases). What I found even more appealing was not having
to be nickeled and dimed for the “optional tours”
that are constantly “offered” by the large tour
companies; with Celtic Dream Tours, everything is already
included. And Fiona, who accompanies the tours, has the
wide-eyed, laid back eagerness of a person born in and besotted
of a country who makes the tour special … I was so
impressed by what I experienced on a tour with the Campbell
Clan, I am planning to do even more tours in the future!

Thanks for the great time we had, our
chauffeur was wonderful, our hotels were great, anyone who
says you don’t need nice hotels as you don’t
spend much time in them, misses out a lot when they go to
Scotland if they don’t stay in nice historical places…
it so adds to the ambiance and atmosphere! Thanks for making
our trip amazing and hopefully not a once in a lifetime
trip! We can’t wait to go back!
